About Amara

I teach people who were told AI is not for them. Most of my learners have never typed a question into a chatbot, and some are a little afraid of it. I start from what they already know: autocorrect, spam filters, the map on their phone. Then we build up the words and habits slowly, with lots of trying things together and no tests. My background is in adult community education and library help desks, where I learned that confusion is almost always a vocabulary problem, not an intelligence problem. I keep lessons short, repeat the important ideas, and always explain why a habit matters before asking anyone to adopt it.

Good pace for a beginner. Training versus inference was the most useful part for me. A little slow in the first lesson if you know some basics.

Solid but I already knew most of the strengths part. The lesson on knowledge cutoffs was the useful bit for me.

  • Ravi N.Sample

Helpful for letters. My complaint to the airline got a reply within a week. The DIY warnings felt repetitive but I understand why.

Having one picture to come back to each lesson really helped. I can now explain to my team why our forecasting tool and a chatbot are not the same thing.

Honest and balanced. I wish there was more about which apps have search built in, but I understand why it stays general.

The 'predict versus generate' lesson was the click moment. Simple drawings, no maths, exactly right for me.
