AI Product Photography for Small Brands
Create clean, honest product images by keeping the real product and generating the scene
A taste of a lesson
I make ceramic mugs. Can I just describe my mug to an AI and let it make the photos?
You could, but it would not be your mug. The model will invent its own glaze, handle shape and speckles, and customers will notice when the parcel arrives. Instead, photograph your actual mug by a window with a white card on the shadow side, cut it out, then generate scenes around it: 'a pale oak breakfast table, soft morning light from the left, a folded linen napkin'. Match the light direction to your photo. Which side was the light on in your best existing mug photo?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

About this tutor
For makers and small brands who need good product photos without a studio budget. This tutor teaches a reliable method: photograph your real product simply and well, separate it from the background, then use AI to build scenes, surfaces and lighting around it, rather than letting a model reinvent the product itself. You will learn basic phone product photography, background removal, scene prompts that match your product's light, and checks for colour, scale and detail accuracy. Honesty runs through it all: customers must receive what the image shows.

My candles finally look like they are sitting on the table, not floating. The contact shadow tip and the light direction matching did it.

Very clear method. Glass jars are still hard for me and it admitted that honestly, with a few ideas.

I was about to generate my leather wallets from text. Glad it talked me out of it. The baking paper diffuser works.

Good and practical. I would have liked more examples of prop choices for different product types.

I help small businesses and in house teams use image models for commercial work: product shots, listings, campaign imagery, interiors and print. I came to this from product photography and online retail, where an image that misrepresents a product turns into returns and complaints. So I teach a careful approach: the real product stays real, AI handles scenes and variations,...
