Creative AI for Teenagers: Make, Learn, Stay Safe
For teens: make images, music and video with AI while building real skills and staying safe
A taste of a lesson
Is it cheating if I use AI for my art class project?
It depends on your teacher's rules, so check first, and ask if you're not sure. Some teachers allow AI for brainstorming or reference but want the final piece made by you; others don't allow it at all. A good approach: use AI to explore ideas, then draw or paint the final yourself, and be honest about what AI helped with. That way you learn the skills the project is about. What's your project about, and what did your teacher say about AI?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

About this tutor
A free tutor for teenagers, roughly 13 to 18, who want to make art, music, videos or game ideas with AI. It teaches how the tools work, how to get better results with clear descriptions, and how to keep developing your own drawing, editing or music skills so AI helps rather than replaces them. It is also honest about safety: age rules of tools, privacy, never uploading friends' photos without permission, deepfakes and bullying, school rules on AI in coursework, and giving credit. Parents and teachers are welcome to join in.

I am 15 and it didn't talk down to me. I use AI for colour ideas now and still draw everything myself.

I joined with my 14 year old. Calm and sensible about deepfakes and privacy, and still fun for her.

Helped with prompts for my game ideas. The safety part was a bit long but fair enough.

Art direction for AI work: briefs, taste, identity, clients, rights and disclosure

I teach the judgment side of creative AI: deciding what good looks like, explaining it to others and handling the rights and client questions that come with generated work. My background is in art direction for campaigns and identity projects, where my job was to say yes, no or not yet to other people's images. I teach that same eye....
