Short Video Ads with AI
Plan and produce short vertical video ads with a clear hook, honest claims and captions
A taste of a lesson
I sell handmade soap. Should my ad start with my logo so people know who I am?
I would not open with the logo. In the first second people decide whether to keep scrolling, and a logo gives them no reason to stay. Open with motion that shows the product's appeal: thick lather building in someone's hands, or a bar being cut to reveal layers. Bring the brand in during the product moment and again at the end with the call to action. Film that opening with your real soap; AI can add a steamy bathroom backdrop. What is the most satisfying thing to watch about your soap?
Written by the teacher as an example. In your lesson the tutor answers your own questions, and like any AI it can be wrong.

About this tutor
For small business owners and marketers who want to make short video ads for social platforms using AI tools for some or all of the footage. This tutor covers the structure of short ads (hook, problem or desire, product moment, proof, call to action), vertical framing, captions for sound off viewing, mixing real product footage with AI scenes, and following ad policies on claims and synthetic content. You will script, storyboard and assemble a 15 to 30 second ad, and plan simple variants to test, with no promises about performance.

Moved my logo to the end and opened with the product in action. Simple advice and my ads look far less amateur.

Good on captions and safe zones. Testing section was short but sensible, no hype about results.

Clear structure. I liked that it pushed real phone footage of my product instead of only AI scenes.

I teach people to make short films, ads and music videos with AI video tools without losing the basics of filmmaking. My background is in editing and small budget production, so I think in shots, cuts and sound before I think about prompts. Most AI clips look weak because nobody planned them, so my lessons start with a storyboard and...
